We hope you’ll encourage some of your students to participate in the PDX Jazz Project. Our intent is to complement the outstanding work you do every day. Our hope is that the PDX Jazz Project will be a valuable tool to encourage stronger participation in both school jazz bands and private lessons.

Please feel free to download, print and post a copy of our poster on your bulletin board, and to print and distribute application forms to students. We’re encouraging not only the best players, but all students with a sincere interest, to apply. If the number of qualified applicants is high enough, we may be able to have more than one band, organized by playing ability.
